of <h1>Andhra Pradesh Added for Biometric Aadhaar Authentication in GST Registration per Notification 54/2023 under CGST Rules 2017.</h1> Notification No. 54/2023, dated 17th November 2023, issued by the Ministry of Finance, amends Notification No. 27/2022 to include the State of Andhra Pradesh for biometric-based Aadhaar authentication for GST registration. Previously, this requirement applied only to the States of Gujarat and Puducherry. The amendment is made under the Central Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017, following the recommendations of the Council. The principal notification was initially published on 26th December 2022 and was last amended on 31st July 2023.
