of <h1>India Regularizes RoDTEP Scheme for 18 HS Codes; Exporters Can Claim from March 28, 2023, Per New Advisory.</h1> The Government of India has regularized the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) scheme for 18 Harmonized System (HS) Codes under heading 5208, effective from January 1, 2021. An error in the customs EDI directory initially excluded these codes, affecting exporters' claims. The codes have now been enabled for shipping bill filings since January 28, 2023, with RoDTEP claims allowed from March 28, 2023. Exporters can make supplementary claims within 180 days following a forthcoming advisory. This regularization supersedes the previous notification and aligns with the Foreign Trade Policy and Customs Tariff Act.
