Export Policy Update: New Self-Declaration Requirement for Motor Gasoline & Gas Oil Exports Under Chapter 27.
The notification amends the export policy for items under specified HS Codes within Chapter 27 of the ITC (HS) Export Policy. Exporters of motor gasoline and gas oil must submit a self-declaration to customs, confirming that a certain percentage of the exported quantity will be supplied domestically during the relevant financial year. Exports to Bhutan and Nepal, as well as 100% Export Oriented Units (EOUs) and Special Economic Zones (SEZs), are exempt from this requirement. Exporters must also file quarterly returns with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. The term 'current financial year' is replaced with 'relevant financial year' in the policy conditions.
