of <h1>India Updates Copra Import Policy: NAFED Replaces MMTC as State Trading Enterprise Under Chapter 12, HS Code 12030000.</h1> The Government of India has amended the import policy for copra under Chapter 12 of the ITC (HS), 2022, Schedule-I. The amendment de-notifies MMTC as a State Trading Enterprise (STE) for the import of copra, replacing it with NAFED. Henceforth, imports of copra under HS Code 12030000 will be conducted through NAFED, subject to the conditions outlined in Paragraph 2.20 of the Foreign Trade Policy. This change has been approved by the Minister of Commerce & Industry and is issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade.
