This decision supersedes a previous notification from May 4, 1963. The restriction applies to maps on a scale of one-fourth inch or more per mile, including those showing international boundaries and topographical features. This measure is enacted under the Customs Act, 1962, to maintain the security of India. The notification was issued by the Department of Revenue, with K. Kumar serving as the Under Secretary.
