of <h1>Anti-dumping duty imposed on Chinese Zinc Oxide imports to protect domestic industry; specific rates and conditions apply.</h1> The notification imposes an anti-dumping duty on Zinc Oxide imported from the People's Republic of China, as it has been exported to India below its normal value, causing material injury to the domestic industry. The duty is set at USD 578.75 per metric tonne for Zinc Oxide of 99.5% purity and is effective until October 8, 2001. The duty for other purities will be calculated on a pro rata basis. The applicable exchange rate for calculating the duty will be specified by the Ministry of Finance, with the relevant date being the presentation of the bill of entry.
