of <h1>Central Government Amends NFRA Appointment Rules: New Roles for Joint Secretary, Ex-ICAI President, and CA Firm Partner.</h1> The Central Government has amended the National Financial Reporting Authority appointment of Part-time members, Rules, 2022, under the Companies Act, 2013. The amendments include changes to rule (2), where a new entry for a Joint Secretary from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs is substituted, and two additional entries are inserted for an ex-president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a partner from a chartered accountancy firm. These rules are effective from their publication date in the Official Gazette.
