of <h1>HUDCO Bonds Designated Tax-Free Under Income-tax Act Section 10(15)(iv)(h); Series XV-A and XV-B Highlighted</h1> The Central Government has designated certain bonds issued by the Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited as tax-free under section 10(15)(iv)(h) of the Income-tax Act, 1961. These include Series XV-A bonds, valued at one lakh rupees each, with a total of 100 crores, offering 7.99% interest annually for seven years. Series XV-B bonds, also valued at one lakh rupees each, total 50 crores, offering 8.25% interest annually for ten years. The tax-free benefit is applicable only if bondholders register their names and holdings with the corporation.
