<h1>Meghalaya GST Rules Amended: New HSN Code Requirements Based on Business Turnover Effective April 1, 2021.</h1> The Government of Meghalaya has amended Notification No. CTAS-65/2017/12, dated June 29, 2017, under the Meghalaya Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017. Effective April 1, 2021, the amendment specifies that businesses with an aggregate turnover of up to five crore rupees in the preceding financial year must use a four-digit Harmonised System of Nomenclature Code (HSN Code), while those with a turnover exceeding five crore rupees must use a six-digit HSN Code. However, businesses with a turnover up to five crore rupees may omit the HSN Code digits when issuing tax invoices to unregistered persons.
