<h1>Goa Finance Department Amends GST Rules: Updates HSN Code Requirements Based on Business Turnover.</h1> The Government of Goa's Department of Finance has amended a previous notification regarding the Goa Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017. Effective April 1, 2021, the amendment updates the requirements for the number of digits in the Harmonised System of Nomenclature (HSN) Code that must be included in tax invoices. Businesses with an aggregate turnover of up to five crores in the preceding financial year are required to use four digits, while those with a turnover exceeding five crores must use six digits. Additionally, businesses with a turnover up to five crores may omit the HSN Code digits when invoicing unregistered persons.
