DFIA import restriction: imports of tyres are prohibited under the amended Foreign Trade Policy rule. The Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020 is amended by insertion of sub paragraph (d) to paragraph 4.25, expressly disallowing import of tyres under the Duty Free Import Authorization (DFIA) scheme, thereby rendering tyres ineligible for DFIA benefits and requiring DFIA holders and administrators to exclude tyres from DFIA eligible imports.
