The amendment, effective December 15, 2000, involves changes to the conditions listed in the Table against S.No. 20. Specifically, in condition (a), the term 'Railway Protection Force' is added alongside 'Assam Rifles or Special Frontier Force.' In condition (b), the authority is expanded to include officials from the Ministry of Railways, in addition to the Ministry of Home Affairs, both not below the rank of an Under Secretary.
