of <h1>India Sets January 1, 2020, for Implementing Finance Act 2019 Changes to Customs Tariff Act Schedule.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance and the Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 89/2019 - Customs (N.T.), appointing January 1, 2020, as the effective date for implementing section 88(b) of the Finance (No. 2) Act, 2019. This enactment will introduce changes to the First Schedule of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. The notification is issued under the authority of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs.
