Registrar of Companies Gains Jurisdiction Over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh for Company Registration u/ss 396(1) & 396(2).

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs issued a notification stating that the Registrar of Companies will have jurisdiction over the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh for company registration and related functions under the Companies Act, 2013. This jurisdictional authority is granted under sections 396(1) and 396(2) of the Act. The notification is effective from October 31, 2019.
