of <h1>Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs to Manage Independent Directors Database per Companies Act 2013, Effective December 1, 2019.</h1> The Central Government, under the Companies Act, 2013, has designated the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs in Manesar, Haryana, as the official body responsible for creating and maintaining a database of individuals eligible and willing to serve as independent directors. This database will include names, addresses, and qualifications for companies to reference when appointing such directors. This notification is effective from December 1, 2019.
