Orders Prompt Disposal of Seized Perishable and Hazardous Goods Under GST Act 2017.</h1> The Government of Puducherry, under the authority of the Puducherry Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, has issued a notification regarding the disposal of certain goods. These goods, listed in the schedule, include items like salt, raw hides, newspapers, menthol, petroleum products, and fireworks, among others. They are to be disposed of promptly after seizure due to their perishable or hazardous nature, depreciation over time, or storage constraints. Additionally, unclaimed or abandoned goods and those not released provisionally within a month are also subject to disposal. The notification is issued by the Commercial Taxes Secretariat.
