of <h1>Pea seed imports (HS 1209 91 40) shift from 'Restricted' to 'Free,' with only Plant Quarantine compliance required</h1> Import policy for pea seeds under HS Code 1209 91 40 is amended from 'Restricted' to 'Free,' replacing the earlier licensing-linked policy condition with a requirement that imports comply with phytosanitary import conditions under the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Imports into India) Order, 2003; accordingly, importation no longer requires restriction-based controls but remains conditional on meeting prescribed plant quarantine requirements. Policy Condition No. 4 in Chapter 12 of ITC (HS) 2017, Schedule I (Import Policy) is deleted, removing the referenced licensing note and aligning the import conditions solely with the applicable phytosanitary regime.
