of <h1>Finance Ministry Amends Notification No. 229/2001: Removes Chennai Entry, Updates Locations to Thane, Jalpaiguri, Durgapur.</h1> The Ministry of Finance, through the Central Board of Direct Taxes, issued a corrigendum to modify Notification No. 229/2001 dated 31st July 2001. The amendments include the deletion of the entry for the Commissioner of Income Tax, Chennai XI, at Sr. No. 28. Additionally, the word 'Kolhapur' is replaced with 'Thane' at Sr. No. 42, 'Kolkata' is replaced with 'Jalpaiguri' at Sr. No. 67, and 'Kolkata' is replaced with 'Durgapur' at Sr. No. 68. All other aspects of the original notification remain unchanged.
