of <h1>Maharashtra Updates GST Tax Exemptions: Changes Include Frozen Vegetables, Music, and Charitable Auction Gifts Effective January 2019.</h1> The Government of Maharashtra issued Notification No. 25/2018-State Tax (Rate) under the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, amending Notification No. 2/2017-State Tax (Rate) dated 29th June 2017. Effective from 1st January 2019, this amendment modifies the tax exemptions for certain goods. It replaces and adds entries in the schedule, including frozen vegetables, provisionally preserved vegetables, printed or manuscript music, and gift items auctioned for public or charitable causes. The notification was authorized by the Deputy Secretary to the Government and is published in the Maharashtra Government Gazette.
