of <h1>Amendment to Customs Notification: Areca Nuts Added Under Sub-heading 0802.90, Effective per Sections 25 & 90.</h1> The notification amends No. 61/2000-Customs, dated 12th May 2000, by inserting a new entry under S.No.4C in the table, specifically including areca nuts under sub-heading No. 0802.90. This amendment is made under the authority of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962, and section 90 of the Finance Act, 2000, as deemed necessary by the Central Government in the public interest. The amendment is formalized by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, and documented under Notification No. 98/2000-Customs, dated 7th July 2000.
