This amendment modifies sub-regulation (2) of regulation 2, specifying that the term 'collective investment scheme' will have the meaning assigned under Section 11AA of the SEBI Act, 1992. This regulatory update was authorized by SEBI under the powers granted by Section 30 of the SEBI Act, 1992, and was announced on February 14, 2000, by the SEBI Chairman.
