Rescission of notification under Section 16 of the SCRA cancels the earlier government notification and its amendments. Central Government rescinds, under the exercise of powers conferred by Sub-section (1) of Section 16 of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956, the earlier Government of India notification S.O. 2561 dated 27 June 1969, thereby terminating the operative effect of that notification as published in the Gazette and revoking the instrument and its subsequent amending entries.
