Tariff concessions expanded under India ASEAN Free Trade Agreement by substituting the concessional tariff schedule, effective implementation date set. Amendment to Notification No.46/2011 Customs substitutes the tariff Table to provide deeper concessional import tariff rates for specified goods originating from ASEAN under the India ASEAN Free Trade Agreement. The Central Government, invoking its power under section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, replaces the existing schedule with a revised Table setting out HS classifications, descriptive qualifiers and the applicable concessional tariff rates; the notification takes effect from 1 January 2019.
