Initially specified for two assessment years starting from 1994-95, this multi-dimensional rural welfare project includes healthcare, education, sports, spiritual activities, and vocational training. Following a satisfactory review by the National Committee, the project is now extended for an additional three years, beginning with the 1996-97 assessment year, with an estimated cost of 32 lakh rupees.
