of <h1>India Implements Tax Collection at Source (TCS) u/s 52 of CGST Act Starting October 1, 2018.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue and the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, issued Notification No. 51/2018 - Central Tax on September 13, 2018. This notification declares that the provisions of Section 52 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, concerning the collection of tax at source (TCS), will come into effect on October 1, 2018. This action is taken under the authority granted by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the CGST Act, 2017.
