of <h1>Punjab Amends Previous Excise Notification, Effective Retroactively from October 4, 2017, u/s 54 of GST Act.</h1> The Government of Punjab has issued an amendment to a previous notification from the Department of Excise and Taxation, originally dated November 2, 2017. This amendment, effective from July 12, 2018, modifies the prior notification by inserting the words and figures 'on and with effect from the 04th October, 2017.' This change is made under the authority of Section 54 of the Punjab Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The amendment is authorized by the Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner (Taxation) of the Department of Excise and Taxation.
