<h1>Surat Airport Designated as Customs Airport for Baggage u/s 7 of Customs Act, 1962.</h1> The Government of India, through the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, has issued Notification No. 51/2018-Customs (N.T.) under Section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962, designating Surat airport in Gujarat as a Customs airport. This amendment to the original notification No. 61/94(NT)-CUSTOMS, dated 21st November 1994, allows for the unloading and loading of baggage at Surat airport. The amendment is effective from the date of publication.
