of <h1>India Extends IGST and Compensation Cess Exemption for EOUs Until October 2018, Amending Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20.</h1> The Government of India has amended the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20, extending the exemption from Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) and compensation cess under the Export Oriented Units (EOU) scheme. This exemption, originally outlined in Paragraph 6.01 of the policy, is now extended until October 1, 2018. The amendment is made under the authority of Section 5 of the FT(D&R) Act, 1992, and aligns with ongoing updates to the policy. The notification was issued by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
