of <h1>Puducherry exempts FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 event admissions from GST under notification amendment No. 12/2017-CT(R).</h1> The Government of Puducherry has amended notification No. 12/2017-CT(R) to exempt the right to admission for events organized under the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 from the Puducherry Goods and Services Tax (GST). This amendment, issued by the Commercial Taxes Secretariat, was enacted under the authority of the Puducherry Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, following recommendations from the Council. The exemption is listed under serial number 82 in the notification, specifying that services related to admission to these events will incur no GST. This decision was ordered by the Lieutenant-Governor of Puducherry.
