of <h1>India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Metronidazole from China to Protect Local Industry; Effective Until October 16, 2000.</h1> The Government of India has imposed an anti-dumping duty on Metronidazole imported from China, following the Designated Authority's findings that the product was being dumped in India at prices below normal value, causing material injury to the Indian industry. The duty is calculated as the difference between Rs. 519 per kilogram and the landed value of the imported product. This measure is effective until October 16, 2000. The 'landed value' includes the assessable value under the Customs Act, 1962, excluding certain specified duties.
