of <h1>Central Government Appoints Whole-Time Member to Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India, Effective March 31, 2017.</h1> The Central Government has appointed an individual as a whole-time member of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India. This appointment, effective from March 31, 2017, is under the authority of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. The appointee will receive a salary equivalent to that of an Additional Secretary to the Government of India or a consolidated monthly salary of Rs. 3,75,000. The tenure is set for five years, until the appointee reaches sixty-five years of age, or until further orders, whichever occurs first.
