of <h1>Regional Rural Banks Exempted from Sections 5 and 6 of Competition Act, 2002 for Five Years.</h1> The Central Government, invoking clause (a) of section 54 of the Competition Act, 2002, exempts Regional Rural Banks from the application of sections 5 and 6 of the same Act. This exemption applies to banks for which a notification has been issued under section 23A(1) of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976. The exemption is valid for five years from the publication date of this notification in the Official Gazette, as stated by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
