<h1>Tripura Finance Dept mandates existing VAT documents for goods transport until E-way bill system is approved u/r 138.</h1> The Government of Tripura's Finance Department issued a notification under rule 138 of the Tripura State Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017. It states that until the E-way bill system is developed and approved by the Council, the existing documents required under the Tripura Value Added Tax Act, 2004, must be carried by the person in charge of a conveyance transporting goods. This requirement will remain in effect from July 1, 2017. The notification was authorized by the Principal Secretary of the Finance Department.
