of <h1>Jharkhand Amends GST Rules: Electronic Verification Codes Now Required for Transactions, Effective Retroactively from June 22, 2017.</h1> The Government of Jharkhand has amended Notification No. S.O. 29 dated 20 June 2017, under the Jharkhand Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017. The amendment involves substituting clause (ii) with provisions for electronic verification codes generated through net banking login on the common portal and electronic verification codes generated on the common portal. This amendment is effective retroactively from 22 June 2017. The notification was issued by the Principal Secretary-cum-Commissioner of the Commercial Taxes Department.
