of <h1>MCA Extends Exemption for Notifying Combinations to Ten Years Under Competition Act, Sections 5 and 6(2.</h1> The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, under the authority of section 54(a) of the Competition Act, 2002, has issued a notification exempting all individuals or enterprises involved in a combination as defined in section 5 of the Act from the requirement to notify within thirty days as specified in section 6(2). This exemption is valid for ten years from the date of publication in the Official Gazette, subject to compliance with section 6(2A) and section 43A. This amendment extends the previous exemption period from five years to ten years as per Notification No. S.O. 1193(E) dated March 16, 2022.
