of <h1>Delhi Grants VAT Exemption to SAARTAC Under Sixth Schedule of Delhi VAT Act, Effective March 22, 2017.</h1> The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi has issued a notification granting VAT exemption/refund to the South Asia Regional Training and Technical Assistance Center (SAARTAC) in New Delhi. This decision, made in response to a request from the Ministry of External Affairs, is based on the principle of reciprocity. The amendment to the Sixth Schedule of the Delhi Value Added Tax Act, 2004, includes SAARTAC as an international organization eligible for VAT exemption. This change is effective from March 22, 2017, as authorized by the Commissioner of Value Added Tax, H. Rajesh Prasad.
