of <h1>India Activates Key Sections of CGST Act 2017 Effective July 1 via Notification No. 9/2017.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance and the Central Board of Excise and Customs, issued Notification No. 9/2017 - Central Tax on June 28, 2017. This notification activates specific sections of the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Act, 2017, effective from July 1, 2017. The sections brought into force include sections 6 to 9, 11 to 21, 31 to 41, 42 (excluding the proviso to sub-section 9), 43 (excluding the proviso to sub-section 9), 44 to 50, 53 to 138, 140 to 145, 147 to 163, and 165 to 174.
