Effective June 19, 2017.</h1> The Central Government has designated a 3.46-hectare area in Puppalguda Village, Telangana, as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for IT/ITES, proposed by a private company. An Approval Committee has been constituted, comprising various government officials and representatives, to oversee the SEZ's development and operation. This committee includes members from the Ministry of Commerce, Foreign Trade, Customs, Income Tax, Finance, and the State Government. The SEZ is effective from June 19, 2017, and will function as an Inland Container Depot under the Customs Act.
