of <h1>New Modes for Document Verification under CGST Rules 2017: Aadhaar EVC, Net Banking, and Common Portal Codes.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs, under the Central Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017, has specified modes of verification for document authentication. These include Aadhaar-based Electronic Verification Code (EVC), an electronic verification code generated through net banking, and one generated on the common portal. Verification must be completed within two days of document submission. This notification, effective from June 22, 2017, amends the previous method which included bank account-based OTP.
