<h1>New Rules for Depositing or Exchanging Confiscated Bank Notes Before December 30, 2016.</h1> The Specified Bank Notes (Deposit of Confiscated Notes) Rules, 2017, issued by the Ministry of Finance, outline the procedures for depositing or exchanging confiscated specified bank notes. These rules apply to notes seized or produced before a court by December 30, 2016. If returned by a court, individuals can deposit or exchange them if the serial numbers are recorded by law enforcement and mentioned in court directions. If forfeited to the government, the respective government can deposit or exchange them. The rules do not apply to notes confiscated after December 30, 2016.
