<h1>Finance Ministry Amends Money-laundering Appeal Rules, 2016: Removes Rs. 1 Lakh Limit in Rule 3, Sub-rule (2) Table.</h1> The Prevention of Money-laundering (Appeal) Amendment Rules, 2016, issued by the Ministry of Finance, amends the Prevention of Money-laundering (Appeal) Rules, 2005. Effective from its publication date, the amendment specifically modifies rule 3, sub-rule (2), by removing the words, letters, and figure 'and upto Rs. 1 lakh' from the Table against serial number 3. This change was officially documented in Notification No. 5/2016, dated December 6, 2016.
