of <h1>Special Judge-1, CBI Ranchi, Designated as PMLA Court for Cases Involving Former Jharkhand Chief Minister.</h1> The Central Government, in consultation with the Chief Justice of the High Court of Jharkhand, designated the Court of Special Judge-1, CBI (ACB), Ranchi, as a Special Court under the Prevention of Money-Laundering Act, 2002. This court will specifically handle cases related to offences punishable under section 4 of the Act, particularly those involving a former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and others. This notification, dated May 23, 2012, was later superseded by another notification in 2016.
