of <h1>India Amends Customs Notification to Exempt Export Duty on Organic Sugar up to 10,000 Metric Tons Annually.</h1> Notification No. 43/2016-Customs, issued by the Government of India, amends the previous notification No. 27/2011-Customs to provide an exemption from export duty on organic sugar up to 10,000 metric tons annually, from October to September, subject to conditions. The exemption requires compliance with specific public notices and a Registration-cum-Allocation Certificate from APEDA. For the period ending September 30, 2016, the exemption is limited to 2,500 metric tons. This amendment is made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, in the interest of public welfare.
