of <h1>Central Government Appoints IAS Officer as CEO of Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority Under Companies Act, 2013.</h1> The Central Government has appointed an individual, an IAS officer from the 1993 batch, as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with additional charge for the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority. This appointment is made under the Companies Act, 2013 and relevant rules. The tenure of the appointment is for six months from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, with the reference number F.No. 5/27/2013-IEPF(Part-1), and signed by the Joint Secretary, Manoj Kumar.
