Initially approved for three years starting from the 1995-96 assessment year, the project includes constructing and operating a hospital, vocational training unit, residential school, and demonstration farm for rural tribes. Due to satisfactory execution, the National Committee recommended extending the project for an additional three years, covering assessment years 1998-99 to 2000-2001, with an estimated cost of 142 lakh rupees.
