Customs duty exemption added for a certified diamond testing institute, allowing import of cut and polished diamonds for testing. The Central Government amended Notification No. 40/2015 Customs to insert HRD Diamond Institute Private Limited, Mumbai in the Table of entities eligible for customs duty exemption, thereby permitting that institute to import cut and polished diamonds for the purpose of testing and certification under the existing exemption framework.
