of <h1>India Doubles Asset and Turnover Thresholds Under Competition Act, 2002, Using Wholesale Price Index Adjustment.</h1> The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, in consultation with the Competition Commission of India, has increased the value of assets and turnover by 100% based on the wholesale price index. This enhancement is made under the authority of sub-section (3) of Section 20 of the Competition Act, 2002, and is applicable for the purposes outlined in Section 5 of the Act. This adjustment takes effect from the date of publication in the Official Gazette as per the notification issued on March 4, 2016.
