This project, aimed at purchasing equipment for free eye surgeries and hospital operations, was initially approved in 2000 and has been extended multiple times. The latest extension is for three years, covering the financial years 2015-16 to 2017-18, with an approved cost of 437.50 lakh, including a corpus fund of 150.00 lakh. The National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare recommended this extension, confirming the project's proper execution.
