<h1>India Amends Central Excise Rules: Exemption for Goods from 100% Export-Oriented Units Clarified in Notification No. 27/2015</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 27/2015-Central Excise, amending Notification No. 15/2015-Central Excise dated March 1, 2015. This amendment, published on April 30, 2015, introduces an explanation stating that the exemption in the original notification applies to excisable goods produced or manufactured by a 100% export-oriented unit and brought into India in compliance with the Foreign Trade Policy. This amendment is made under the authority of the Central Excise Act, 1944, and the Finance Act, 2007, in the public interest.
