of <h1>India Amends Customs Notification: Tariff Changes on Various Items, Including Digital Cameras, Effective Immediately</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 28/2015-Customs to amend the earlier Notification No. 12/2012-Customs dated March 17, 2012. The amendments include changes in tariff rates and exemptions for various items. Specific changes include substituting the tariff rate to 40% for serial numbers 76, 77, and 78, setting the rate to Nil for serial number 113, omitting serial number 113A, and adjusting other rates and item descriptions such as for digital cameras and their components. These amendments are deemed necessary in the public interest under the Customs Act, 1962.
